Ukkusiksalik National Park
Ukkusiksalik National Park, established in 2003, is located in Nunavut and covers 20,885 km² of tundra and coastal wetlands surrounding Wager Bay, an inlet on Hudson Bay. The landscape includes reversing waterfalls, low tundra vegetation, and scattered boreal forest patches in river valleys.
The park is home to polar bears, Arctic wolves, grizzly bears, barren-ground caribou, seals, and peregrine falcons. Over 500 archaeological sites are found here, reflecting a long history of Inuit presence.
