Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve is located along the Côte-Nord region of Quebec, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, opposite Anticosti Island.
Accessible by boat or air, the reserve encompasses a remarkable seascape of over a thousand islands, rocky islets, limestone reefs, and cays, each hosting a unique mosaic of ecosystems. It protects Canada's most significant collection of erosion-shaped monoliths and preserves sensitive environments that include arctic-alpine flora such as the endemic Mingan thistle.
The park is also a haven for marine and bird life, including some of the Gulf’s largest colonies of Arctic terns, common terns, and common eiders. The archipelago is a vital location for studying fossils and geological formations shaped by millennia of natural processes.
