Located in the Northwest Territories of Canada, the Tsá Tué Biosphere Reserve is home to the Sahtuto’ine or ‘Bear Lake People’. It includes Great Bear Lake—the last large, undisturbed Arctic lake—and part of its watershed.
The area is dominated by boreal forests and taiga, which support species such as muskoxen, moose, and caribou. The only settlement in the region is the Dene First Nation community of Délįne, which means 'where the water flows'.
With a population of around 600, nearly all Sahtuto’ine, the community sustains itself through traditional hunting and fishing practices. The local economy also involves emerging tourism, infrastructure development, and self-governance.

Tsá Tué Biosphere Reserve is included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR).
