Kejimkujik National Park, located in the southwest region of Nova Scotia, spans 404 km² and encompasses two distinct areas: an inland section and the Kejimkujik Seaside on the Atlantic coast. It is uniquely designated as both a national park and a national historic site, the only such dual designation in Canada.
The inland section protects a Mi'kmaq cultural landscape rich with archaeological features such as petroglyphs, burial sites, traditional canoe routes, and ancient settlements. The park's natural environment includes forested plains, freshwater lakes, and coastal habitats.
Kejimkujik Lake, the park's largest body of water, covers 26 km². The park is also recognized as a dark-sky preserve, offering exceptional stargazing opportunities and astronomy-themed programs, especially during its annual Dark Sky Weekend.
