    The Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve in Ontario spans 725 kilometers, stretching from Lake Ontario near Niagara Falls to the tip of the Bruce Peninsula between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. This corridor traverses two distinct biomes: the boreal needleleaf forests of the north and the temperate broadleaf forests of the south, offering a wide range of ecological diversity.
    The escarpment is a significant geological and biological feature, supporting numerous plant and animal species along its varied elevations and ecosystems.
    Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve is included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR).
