Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve
Located in the province of Saskatchewan in southwestern Canada, the Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve spans 112,200 hectares of rolling prairie landscape. It features seasonal ponds, marshes, and aspen-shrub groves.
At its heart lies a saline lake surrounded by several islands, forming the reserve's core area. The region is also home to small remnants of natural mixed prairie, a rare ecosystem in this extensively grazed and farmed area of the Canadian prairies.
Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve is included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR).
