Umm al-Qamari Islands

Umm al-Qamari Islands is a natural reserve located in the two islands of Umm Al-Qamari in the Red Sea, southwest of the city of Al Qunfudhah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The surface of the two islands consists of limestone rocks in addition to the white coastal sand.
The islands are characterized by the presence of coral reefs in the coastal area, in addition to a lot of plants in the middle, the most important of which are the toothbrush tree (Salvadora persica) and cactus. The reserve is an important habitat for birds during the migration season, mostly Collared doves and Turtle doves for which the islands were named.
Other birds include Herons, Pelicans, Gulls and Osprey.
