Ancient settlement discovered in Turkey

Archaeologists in Turkey have announced the discovery of a permanent settlement dating back at least 9,300 years in excavations at Sircalitepe Mound in the southern Anatolian province of Niğde. The excavation team at the site of the discovered settlement indicated that they had found an obsidian workshop, in addition to bones and stone tools, along with beads and other things believed to be for ornamental purposes.
