Ancient statue discovered in Izmir

Turkish officials announced the discovery of an 1,800-year-old statue of a woman in Izmir. The excavations department of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism said that the discovery took place in the ancient city of Metropolis in the Torbali district which is located 40 kilometers from İzmir.
