Ancient ceremonial carriage discovered near Pompeii

Archaeologists have excavated a unique ancient Roman ceremonial carriage from a villa located outside Pompeii, the city that was buried under meters of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The perfectly preserved carriage was made of iron, bronze and tin.
