Imam Saud bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, formerly Mahazat as-Sayd Protected Area, is a nature reserve located northeast of the city of Taif in the western part of central Saudi Arabia. The vegetation cover of the reserve consists of some desert plants and short grasses that are sometimes interspersed with groups of Acacias and Maerua trees.
The reserve is a natural site to reintroduce some wild animal species, the most important of which are the Arabian oryx, the reem gazelle, in addition to the red-necked ostrich.
