White Desert National Park
White Desert National Park, or White Desert Protected Area, is a national park located in the Farafra depression in the Western Desert of Egypt, south of Bahariya Oasis. The park is the site of large rock formations of white limestone and chalk that were formed by wind and sand erosion.
The park is a sanctuary for many animals, including the endangered Rhim gazelle and the vulnerable Dorcas gazelle, as well as Barbary sheep, jackals, red and fennec foxes, and the sand cat.
