Saint Katherine Protectorate

Saint Katherine Protectorate is a nature reserve located in South Sinai in Egypt. The reserve is characterized by its mountainous terrain, where there are the highest mountain peaks in Egypt.
It is also one of the very important areas from an archaeological point of view, due to the presence of a number of historical churches and monasteries such as Saint Catherine's Monastery. The reserve is home to many plant and animal species, including Rock hyrax, Nubian ibex, Striped hyena, Red fox, and Red gazelle, in addition to birds, reptiles and other species.
