Taza National Park
Taza National Park, or Taza Biosphere Reserve, is a nature reserve located on the Mediterranean coast in the Kabylie region of Algeria. The park is characterized by beautiful landscapes, in addition to beaches, mountains and valleys, and is famous for having many unique and distinguished natural resources at the regional and global levels.
Among the most important trees in the reserve are cork oaks, in addition to other types of oaks, as well as willow and maple trees (Montpellier maple). The park is also home to many mammals and birds, the most important of which are the rare and endangered Algerian nuthatch, as well as the Barbary Macaque.
Taza National Park is included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR).
