Djebel Aissa National Park
Djebel Aissa National Park is a national park located in the mountain range of the Saharan Atlas in western Algeria. The park is of particular importance in national terms due to its role in preserving the ecosystem of the Algerian Western Highlands region.
The vegetation cover of the area includes Ziziphus, Pistacia, Juniperus phoenicea, Quercus ilex, Juniperus oxycedrus and Pinus halepensis (Aleppo pine). The park is also home to many animals such as Hare, Wild Boar, Jackal, Fox, Bustard, Porcupine, Barbary sheep, and the Dorcas gazelle.
