Hoggar National Park

Hoggar National Park, or Hoggar Cultural Park, is a national park located in the Hoggar Mountains range in Tamanrasset Province in the far south of Algeria. The park features a mountainous terrain strewn with trees like Vachellia tortilis, Vachellia seyal, myrtle and Tamarix aphylla.
Hoggar National Park is an ideal environment for scientific research specialized in geological, plant and animal fields, in addition to its cultural importance because of the archaeological sites it contains as well as many rock inscriptions and drawings dating back more than a million years.
