Aqaba Marine Reserve
The Aqaba Marine Reserve (AMR) in Jordan is a unique conservation area known for its remarkable biodiversity and resilience to climate change. Situated in the Gulf of Aqaba, the AMR hosts over 157 species of reef-building corals, 120 species of soft corals, 500 fish species, and 1,000 mollusks species, including numerous endemic and endangered species like the Indo-Pacific Humphead Wrasse and Whale Shark.
