New Fort York was a British military fort built in 1841 AD just west of the original Fort York in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was constructed to accommodate a growing British military presence following the War of 1812 and the Rebellions of 1837–1838. Unlike the older fort, New Fort York was designed as a more modern barracks complex, eventually known as the Stanley Barracks. It served various military purposes into the 20th century before being mostly demolished. Only the Officers’ Quarters remain today and are preserved as a historic site within Exhibition Place.
