Fort Carlton (Saskatchewan)
Fort Carlton is a historic trading post and military site located near the North Saskatchewan River in Saskatchewan, Canada. It was originally established in 1795 AD by the Hudson’s Bay Company as part of its fur trade network and served as a key hub for trade with Cree and other Indigenous nations. In the 19th century, the fort was also used by the North-West Mounted Police and played a role in the events surrounding the North-West Resistance of 1885 AD.
