    Fort Dufferin is a historic site located near Emerson, Manitoba, Canada. Established in 1872 AD by the British, it served as a base for the North American Boundary Commission during the survey of the Canada–United States border. Later, in 1874 AD, it became a staging point for the North-West Mounted Police on their march westward. The site includes remnants of the original buildings and is a significant historical landmark, reflecting its role in Canadian border development and the early presence of law enforcement in Western Canada.
