    Fort George is a historic military fortification located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. Built between 1796 AD and 1799 AD by the British, it served as the headquarters for the British Army and the local militia during the early 19th century. The fort played a key role in the War of 1812 but was severely damaged during the American invasion in 1813 AD.
