Fort Selkirk is a historic trading post located at the confluence of the Yukon River and the Pelly River in Yukon, Canada. It was originally established in 1848 AD by Robert Campbell of the Hudson’s Bay Company as part of British efforts to expand the fur trade into the interior of the Yukon. The fort served as a key hub for trade with Indigenous nations, particularly the Northern Tutchone. In 1852 AD, the fort was abandoned after it was attacked by coastal Tlingit traders. It was later reoccupied in the late 19th century during the gold rush era.
