Fort Reliance is a historic trading post located on the Yukon River, near present-day Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. It was established in 1874 AD by Leroy Napoleon "Jack" McQuesten, a trader with ties to the Hudson’s Bay Company, and served as a key supply and trading station during the early days of European presence in the Yukon. The fort played an important role in supporting fur trade activity and later the gold prospectors who arrived prior to the Klondike Gold Rush, a major influx of prospectors to the Klondike region of northwestern Canada between 1896 and 1899 AD.
