Fort Senneville is a historic French fort located in Senneville, on the western tip of the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was originally built in 1671 AD as a stockade to protect settlers and control access to the Ottawa River. In 1692 AD, it was rebuilt as a stone fort by the French colonial authorities to defend against Iroquois raids and British threats. The fort included towers, thick stone walls, and cannon emplacements, making it one of the most advanced rural fortifications in New France. It was destroyed by the British in 1776 AD during the American Revolutionary War.
