Kalissaye Avifaunal Reserve
Kalissaye Avifaunal Reserve is a national park located at the mouth of the Casamance River near the city of Ziguinchor in the Ziguinchor Region of southern Senegal. The park consists of a group of small sandy islands covered by some plants such as Ipomoea pes-caprae, Sporobolus spicatus, and Alternanthera maritima.
The park is home to many seabirds such as the Caspian tern and the royal tern, as well as the great white pelican. The park's coast is also home to many species of sea turtles, including the loggerhead sea turtle and the green turtle, and the common dolphin and West African manatee are also found in the area.
