Zembra Island Nature Reserve

Zembra Island Nature Reserve is a nature reserve located on the island of Zembra in northern Tunisia. The island is characterized by its mountainous terrain covered by Mediterranean trees such as wild olives and Phoenician junipers, in addition to Pistacia lentiscus (also lentisk or mastic), Arbutus unedo and other species.
The area is rich in waterfowl and invertebrate marine life, and the common dolphin is often seen. Of the wild animals there is the wild cat and the European hare (Oryctolagus cuniculus).

Zembra Island Nature Reserve is included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR).
