Bahiret el Bibane
Bahiret el Bibane is a coastal lagoon located in the governorate of Medenine in the southeast of Tunisia. The lagoon is partially separated from the Mediterranean Sea, so it constitutes a natural reserve for the fish that enter it from the sea, as well as for the birds that come in the winter, the most important of which are pink flamingos, cormorants, in addition to the Gruiformes (cranes).
The lagoon is of great national and regional importance as it was classified as one of the exemplary sites within the project for the protection of marine and coastal resources in the Gulf of Gabès.
