Yavuz Selim Mosque
Yavuz Selim Mosque or Selim I Mosque is a historic mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was commissioned by the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in memory of his father Selim I. The mosque was completed in 1527 AD and inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 as part of Historic Areas of Istanbul.
