Jabal al-Bilas Nature Reserve is a nature reserve located in Jabal al-Bilas on the outskirts of the Syrian Desert, where it is part of the Palmyra fold belt (Palmyrene mountain belt) and administratively belongs to the Syrian governorate of Hama. The vegetation cover in the reserve is characterized by its richness in forest and pastoral plants, where the plants vary between trees of Pistacia atlantica, oaks, almonds, Rhamnus palaestina, wild plums, palms, oleander shrubs and sumac, in addition to annual herbs such as oats, Achillea (yarrows), Peganum and others.
In the reserve, there are many wild animals such as the wolf, hyena, wild fox, jackal, and wild cat, in addition to many species of birds such as doves, Feral pigeons, sparrows, owls and eagles.
