Cherry Festival in Sefrou

Cherry festival is a festival held in the Moroccan city of Sefrou for three days in June of each year, to celebrate the natural and cultural beauty of their region, which is symbolized by the cherry fruit, in addition to the Cherry Queen who is elected every year. The festival includes a large parade with performing troupes that perform rural and urban music.
The Cherry festival is an opportunity for the entire city to showcase its activities and achievements, a source of pride and belonging that enhances the self-esteem of the city and its residents and is a fundamental contribution to their local identity.
Cherry Festival in Sefrou was inscribed in 2012 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in Morocco.
