Soleb is one of the oldest historical cities in Nubia, and is currently located in the northern state of Sudan. The site is a necropolis that includes many royal tombs dating back to the periods of the Old Egyptian Kingdom and the Kingdom of Kush, and it also includes a temple built by Amenhotep III.
