The Kushite civilization, active from around 1070 BC to 350 AD in Nubia, south of Egypt, is known for its unique pyramids and metallurgy. They ruled Egypt during the 25th Dynasty and developed a vibrant culture centered in Meroë, a hub of trade and learning.
