    Qalawun complex is a massive Islamic complex located in Cairo, Egypt. It includes a mosque, a madrasa, a bimaristan (hospital) and a mausoleum. The complex was built by the Sultan al-Mansur Qalawun between 1284 and 1285 AD. Qalawun complex was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Historic Cairo.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Historic Cairo.
