      Al-Azhar MosqueAl-Azhar Mosque is a historical mosque located in Cairo, Egypt. It was built in 972 AD by the Fatimid Caliph Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah. The mosque was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Historic Cairo.
