Sultan Barquq Complex
Sultan Barquq Complex or Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Barquq is an Islamic complex consists of mosque and madrassa and located in Cairo, Egypt. It was built by the Mamluk Sultan al-Zahir Barquq between 1384-1386 AD as a school for religious education. The complex was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Historic Cairo.
