    Fort Frederick is a historic military fortification located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1846 AD as part of the Kingston Fortifications, it was constructed to defend the city and its naval dockyard against potential American attacks during heightened tensions. The fort features a Martello tower and earthworks, designed for artillery defense and to withstand bombardments. Fort Frederick was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 as part of Rideau Canal.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Rideau Canal.
