Ksar of Moghrar Tahtani is a historic fortified settlement located in Naâma Province, southwestern Algeria, within the Moghrar oasis. The ksar developed in a region inhabited since prehistoric times and is renowned for its religious and cultural importance, particularly its zawiya founded in 1876 by Sheikh Bouamama, a leading figure of popular resistance in southern Algeria. With its mosque, Quranic school, guesthouse, and numerous private libraries containing valuable manuscripts, the ksar represents a major center of spiritual learning and cultural continuity in the Saharan Atlas.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Ksour of the Algerian Saharan Atlas.
