Ksar Boussemghoun
Ksar Boussemghoun is a fortified historical village located in Boussemghoun, El Bayadh Province, Algeria. Historical sources indicate that the oldest history of the palace dates back to the 4th century AD, as it was built in a geographical area where water is available, and is considered a station for caravans. All existing buildings date from the Islamic period. The palace houses the old mosque, whose construction dates back to the beginnings of the Islamic conquest, in addition to the zawiya of Sidi Ahmed Al-Tijani.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Ksour of the Algerian Saharan Atlas.
