Juyushi Mosque

Juyushi Mosque is a historic mosque located on the Muqattam mountain in Cairo, Egypt. It was built by the vizier Badr al-Jamali who was the commander of the Armies (Amir al-Juyush) for the Fatimid Caliphate. The mosque was completed in 1085 AD under the patronage of Caliph-Imam al-Mustansir Billah. Juyushi Mosque was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Historic Cairo.
