Al-Aqmar Mosque
Al-Aqmar Mosque is a historic mosque located in Cairo, Egypt. It was built by vizier al-Ma'mun al-Bata'ihi during the rule of the Fatimid Caliph Al-Amir bi-Ahkami l-Lah in 1125 AD. The mosque was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Historic Cairo.
