Hatnub

Hatnub was the location of Egyptian alabaster quarries and an associated seasonally occupied settlement located in the Eastern Desert of Egypt, about 65 km southeast of el-Minya. The site was in use intermittently from at least as early as the reign of Khufu until the Roman period. There are many rock inscriptions in the site.
