Bab Jedid is one of the gates of the medina of Tunis. It was built in 1278 AD by the Hafsid Sultan Abu Zakariyâ Yahya al-Wathiq. Bab Jedid was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Medina of Tunis.
