The site reflects the integration of defensive architecture with village life, where fortification elements were adapted to protect agricultural land, water resources, and local communities.
    The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Sites of the Cultural Landscape and Heritage Landmarks in Sana’a.
