Binder-Léré Faunal Reserve
Binder-Léré Faunal Reserve is a natural wildlife reserve located in the far southwest of Chad at the border with Cameroon. The reserve forms a transitional area between open forests and savanna forests and serves as a drainage basin for the Mayo Kébbi, which flows from the Léré Lake, west of the reserve.
The vegetation cover of the reserve consists of leguminous tree species and the Combretum forests in the southern and northern zones. The reserve is also characterized by being a habitat for many species of migratory waterfowl, as well as lesser kestrels.
There are some numbers of threatened African manatee in the reserve in Léré Lake.
