Tibesti Rock Art
Tibesti Rock Art are a group of inscriptions, engravings and rock paintings that are located in the Tibesti Mountains in the middle of the Sahara desert. The site is located administratively in the Tibesti Region in northern Chad. These inscriptions and paintings date back to the 4th millennium BC, and they depict wild life in that ancient past, especially in the early neolithic transition (Neolithic Revolution). Among the rock paintings there are engraved oxen and giraffes, in addition to drawings from later historical periods that depict men and women and village life in general.
