Pharaoh’s Island

Pharaoh's Island is an island in the northern Gulf of Aqaba off the shore of Egypt's eastern Sinai Peninsula. Crusaders built a citadel on the island, which they called Ile de Graye. In December 1170, Saladin conquered the island and reconstructed the citadel which became later Saladin Citadel.
