Petra
Petra, or the Rose City, originally known as Raqmu to the Nabataeans, is an ancient and historical city located in Ma'an Governorate in southern Jordan. The city is famous for its rock-cut architecture and ancient water conduit system. It was founded in 312 BC and became the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom. Petra includes a large group of monuments such as the Great Temple and the Temple of the Winged Lions, in addition to Al-Khazneh (the treasury) and Ad Deir, which are considered among the most important and famous of these monuments.
