Al-Omari Grand Mosque is a historic mosque located in Beirut, Lebanon. The mosque was originally the old Crusader Church of Saint John. Built in 1150 AD, it was transformed into the city’s Grand Mosque by the Mamluks in 1291 AD. The mosque was renovated in 2004 after been damaged during the Civil War.
