Mosque of Omar
Mosque of Omar is a historic mosque located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It was built in its current shape by the Ayyubid Sultan Al-Afdal ibn Salah ad-Din in 1193 AD to commemorate the prayer of the caliph Omar. The mosque was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981 as part of Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls.
