    Jerusalem, al-Quds, Bait-ul-Muqaddas, is a city located on a plateau between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, it is one of the oldest cities in the world. In the ancient cuneiform from the early Canaanite period, Jerusalem was called "Urusalima", meaning "City of Peace". It is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions (Islam, Christianity and Judaism). The city was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls.
